Ann Kathrin & Lars Fredrick: Civil ceremony  and dinner with a stunning view – Rome

It was wonderful to celebrate their story. Ann Cathrin wrote to me: “My partner and I will finally get married on October 5, 2023, in Rome. We have been living together for 19 years, and we have four children and two dogs. We will bring a small group of guests to Rome, probably 25 people. At 55 and 59 years old, we have a long history. We would prefer an intimate wedding reception and dinner at a good hotel with excellent food and possibly a beautiful view.” From that first email, Ann Cathrin and Lars Fredrick carefully evaluated various locations because they wanted a place that would celebrate and crown the success of a long love story that, after so many years and with the children now grown, they wanted to share with their loved ones. The view was the main element, along with the quality of the dinner. They were very fortunate, and the “old lady” gave them one of her beautiful sunsets, which have made the Roman October evenings so famous. The time between the ceremony and the start of the reception at the villa was sufficient to enjoy a different aspect of the city, so here’s a first appetizer sailing on the banks of the Tiber, enjoying a completely different view of the city. Dinner was served on the terrace, with all of Rome at their feet,, while the night ended with a beautiful party and the “confetti,” almond and sugar-coated candies of various flavours, a detail offered at the end of the event, with a particular set up  at the end of Italian weddings.
